Shopping Heaven at Mutiara Damansara

If you are familiar with One Utama Shopping Complex at Bandar Utama, you should extend your journey to Mutiara Damansara, which is located next to Bandar Utama. Huh! But you have to be ready with the heavy traffic surrounding this area. Especially during weekend.

What’s so interesting about this neighbourhood?

Mutiara Damansara…This is one of the prime location in Klang Valley, where several huge buildings, which consists of shopping complexes and cinemas, are located. Just named it…Cineleisure, The Curve, Ikano Power Centre, Ikea, Tesco. All of these buildings located next to the others. This make the traffic congested especially during weekend from afternoon till night. You may spend the whole day here because there are so many attractions here, especially for the shopping & food lovers.

The Curve @Mutiara Damansara is the first open-air lifestyle centre in Malaysia. It is anchored by world-class retail establishments namely, IKEA Home Furnishings, IKANO Power Centre, Tesco Hypermarket and Cineleisure Damansara. All these establishments are connected to the Curve by all weather walkways.

Feel the excitement…shopping and dining at the Curve promises a whole new experience. The unique concept of dining (food and beverage) section at the Curve, which is divided into Asian and Western courtyards, provides much flexibility and variety in term of choice of foods and dining environment. The main departmental store at the Curve is Metrojaya, while others consists of private boutiques. Among the common retailers here are Watson, Mph, Borders, Body Shop, etc...so many to name it.

Apart from indoor shopping, you may want to experience the outdoor shopping at the Flea Market, the Curve. There's so many things that you can buy from the market. For example, clothes, accessories, toys, decoration items, etc. All items here are sold that reasonable price. I can see that the outdoor shopping concept at this Flea market has attracted so many people to shop at the Curve. It's very interesting to watch the price bargain between the buyer-seller here. It's make the Curve alive!

After spent some time at the Curve, you can choose to go to Ikea and Ikano Power Centre. Explore the house of interior design and electronic items in these two complexes. Or you can watch movie at Cineleisure. I've been there..but only for a walk. It's a nice place to watch movie. Hmm...waiting for the right movie to watch there. For more information about the Curve @ Mutiara Damansara, you can read here: http://www.thecurve.com.my/

Located next to the Curve’s building is a 4-star boutique hotel, Royale Bintang Damansara, which provides both local and tourists a chance to experience its cozy atmosphere and wonderful amenities without leaving the Curve. So, for those who stay out of Kuala Lumpur, and wish to spend your time at this quite new shopping heaven, you may want to stay at this hotel. It's just a walking distance to the complexes. Visit Malaysia Year 2007

FIREWORKS and the first official spin of the “Eye on Malaysia” ferris wheel marked the launch of Visit Malaysia Year 2007 by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur, on Saturday night, 6 January 2007. Thousands of people with their families in tow gathered at the lake garden to watch the launching ceremony and catch a glimpse of the 60m ferris wheel. (Source: The Star, 7 January 2007)

Happy new year! I hope I wasn't too late to wish all of you A Very Happy New Year...and for Muslim, don't forget we are going to celebrate our new year on 20 th January 2007 (Awal Muharram).

Whatever it is, I missed to write in this blog very much. I didn't have enough time to handle too many things in 1 go. I have to work, do my internet biz, update my blog...huh!

But, since this year 2007 is the Visit Malaysia Year, I think this is the right time to promote Malaysia to the world. There are so many interesting events, which will be held in Malaysia this year.

What is more interesting? Eye on Malaysia...During my first visit to Taman Tasik Titiwangsa this year, I saw there are so many people waiting in queue to watch Kuala Lumpur from the “Eye on Malaysia” ferris wheel. So, may be i'll try it next time. Heheh...
